Love your work! Just found the blog via your comments at Creaturebox.
Your character art and color is Great. I'm a 50 year old sketcher that is still struggling to learn some new coloring moves and leave the black line.
No doubt the tablet is the answer but looking one way and drawing on the slippery surface in another has proved a challenge to me thus far.
Keep up the internet presence as you never know who your inspiring to keep drawing!
